The Muslimah Virtual Parlour is the brain-child of Muti’ah Badruddeen, Nigerian Muslimah Author of contemporary Islamic fiction. The MVP is envisaged as an online gathering of Muslimahs of different ages, cultures and life experiences – an open, honest and non-judgmental arena to share our ideas, views and experiences on matters that affect us as Muslim women in today’s world, in a relaxed (albeit virtual) setting.
The idea of the Muslimah Virtual Parlor was born out of Muti’ah’s recognition of the need to have our private space, and a unique avenue for the expression of our thoughts without external influences. As a social media newbie, she quickly realized there was a need for a safe space for us to dialogue without the attendant distractions and inflammation common to most social media apps.
